Privacy Policy
Private on the iPhone. Clear everywhere else.
Effective and last updated: 24 July 2026
The Push to Earn iPhone app does not collect or transmit personal data to us. It has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs. Camera processing and Screen Time rules stay on the device. The separate website collects only information a visitor chooses to submit to the waitlist or by email.
1. Scope
This policy covers the Push to Earn iPhone app and the website at pushtoearn.com. Because their data practices differ, they are described separately below.
2. The iPhone app
Information the app keeps on the device
To provide its features, the app stores the following information locally in its App Group container, shared only with its bundled Screen Time extensions:
- opaque Screen Time selections for the apps, categories, and websites chosen by a parent or device owner;
- group names, push-up targets, reward durations, daily limits, bedtime rules, unlock state, and aggregated challenge and streak statistics;
- a salted cryptographic hash of the parent PIN and recovery code, rather than the readable PIN or recovery code; and
- an optional teen name and parent phone number used only to prepare a completion message.
This on-device information is not sent to Push to Earn, an analytics service, an advertising service, or any other external server.
Camera and pose processing
The app uses the front camera only after permission is granted and a challenge is started. Apple Vision analyzes body positions live on the iPhone to count push-ups. The app does not record, save, upload, share, or use camera frames for face recognition. Only the temporary pose result needed for counting is used during the challenge.
Screen Time and Family Controls
Apple provides opaque identifiers for selected apps, categories, and websites. Push to Earn uses them locally to apply and remove its own Managed Settings shields. The app does not read browsing history or detailed app-usage reports, and does not send Screen Time selections to us.
Optional completion messages
If a parent saves a phone number, the app can prepare a message after a challenge. The user must tap Send in Apple’s Messages composer; nothing is sent automatically. Messages are handled by Apple’s Messages service and the user’s carrier under their respective terms and privacy practices.
Retention, deletion, and permission choices
App information remains on the iPhone until it is changed or the app is deleted. Deleting Push to Earn removes its local app data according to iOS behavior. A user can manage camera access in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security > Camera. Screen Time access can be managed in iPhone Settings; on a Family Sharing child account, Apple may require parent approval before access or the app can be removed.
3. Teenagers and children
Push to Earn is designed as a parent- or guardian-configured utility for families with teenagers and is not offered in Apple’s Kids Category. The app does not create child accounts or collect personal information from children or teenagers. The website waitlist and support contact are intended for adults. Please do not submit a child’s personal information through the website or by email.
4. The website
When an adult joins the early-access waitlist, the website stores the email address submitted, the consent time, and optional campaign-source information. This is used only for beta and launch communication. The waitlist does not ask for a teen’s name, camera data, Screen Time selections, or app activity.
When someone emails support, the sender’s email address, message, and any information they choose to include are processed by the relevant email providers and retained as needed to answer and maintain a support record. Website hosting and the waitlist database are provided by Amazon Web Services acting as a service provider. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Waitlist or support information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution. An adult can request access, correction, deletion, or removal from the waitlist by contacting support.
5. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. Website providers may process information in countries other than the visitor’s own, subject to their contractual safeguards and applicable law. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be presented through an appropriate notice.
